Energy Cleansing Practices I Return To Again & Again
From me to you, in the days following the Supermoon and as we move toward the Summer Solstice — the longest day of the year and one of the most energetically potent moments of the year.
Whether you believe in astrology, energy work, psychology, spirituality, or simply the power of intention, there is something undeniably symbolic about this time. The days are at their brightest, nature is at its fullest expression, and light is abundant. And with that abundance of light comes an invitation: to look at what we've been carrying, consciously or unconsciously, and decide what no longer belongs to us.
One of the things I have learned through years of working with people is that many of us walk around carrying far more than our own emotions. We absorb stress from loved ones, tension from work, anxiety from the news, expectations from society, and sometimes even the moods of complete strangers. Over time, all of that can accumulate and leave us feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, irritable, anxious, or simply "not ourselves."
When that happens, these are the practices I return to most often.
1. The Gold-Silver Comb This is one of the simplest visualizations I learned during my training to become a transpersonal regression therapist, and it is surprisingly effective.
On the days when I feel as though I've absorbed everyone else's emotions, worries, opinions, and energy, I imagine holding a beautiful gold-silver comb.
Before falling asleep, I slowly brush this comb through my aura — the energetic space surrounding my physical body. With each stroke, I imagine removing everything that does not belong to me: other people's thoughts, negative emotions, stress, hurtful words, expectations, fears, and energetic debris collected throughout the day. The goal is not to analyze or understand any of it. Simply brush it away. I continue until I feel lighter, calmer, and more like myself.
2. The Golden Light Shower There are days when my mind refuses to switch off. You know the feeling: too many conversations, too many decisions, too much stimulation, maybe too many ideas. You lie down, and your brain continues running at full speed. When that happens, I imagine myself standing beneath a warm stream of golden-yellow light. Like water from a shower, this light pours through every cell of my body, washing away tension, stress, and emotional residue. Anything heavy dissolves and flows away. The beauty of this practice is its simplicity. There is nothing to figure out, fix, or process. Just stand beneath the light and allow it to do its work. Stay there for as long as you need, until you feel peace and calm.
P.S. Regular, dare I say, water shower in the evening works just as well, so if you had a tough and dreadful day, a quick shower with water pouring down your head is a fantastic remedy to wash it all away and prepare yourself for a peaceful night.
3. The Selenite Cave This is my favorite practice for those days when you feel overstimulated, frazzled, and energetically "buzzing." I usually pair it with gentle music — often the Ra Ma Da Sa mantra or 528 Hz frequencies.
Then I imagine myself lying or sitting inside a luminous white cave made entirely of selenite crystal. The walls glow softly around me, creating a sense of peace, stillness, and safety. Selenite has long been associated with purification and energetic cleansing. Whether you see it as a spiritual tool or simply a powerful symbolic object, the visualization itself can be deeply soothing.
If you have a piece of selenite at home, place it beside you, rest it on your chest, or hold it in your hand while you practice. Then simply allow yourself to receive.
4. The Violet Flame This is my go-to tool every day when I feel the need for an extra layer of energetic protection. The Violet Flame is one of the first tools we work with inside Life Scripting. Command the Violet Flame to surround your body, and imagine a powerful violet light surrounding your entire body – it is like the spiritual equivalent of those violet insect-zappers that attract and neutralize unwanted insects. The Violet Flame acts similarly: transmuting, dissolving, and repelling anything that is not aligned with your highest good. The practice itself is remarkably straightforward.
Close your eyes and simply command: "I (your name) now command the Violet Flame to surround me” or "I (your name) now command the Violet Flame to surround me for protection, purification, and transmutation)".
You can use it before difficult conversations, crowded events, travel, important meetings, social gatherings, or any situation where you feel you may be affected by external influences.
5. King Solomon Seal #23 For when you want ongoing energetic protection for your body, mind, and aura. While the previous practices are visualizations you can do anytime, Solomon Seal #23 is a guided meditation I return to when I feel the need to strengthen my energetic boundaries over a longer period. Based on the Fourth Pentacle of the Moon, this seal is traditionally associated with protection from harm and strengthening one's energetic field.
In the King Solomon Seals Meditation Series, I combine the principles of Life Scripting with the symbolism and frequency of the seal to help imprint the intention of protection into the subconscious mind. The meditation is designed to support the protection of the physical body, mind, and aura while helping you maintain a stronger energetic frequency.
I especially like using it:
During stressful periods
Before travel
When I'm exposed to a lot of people and different energies
During major life transitions
Whenever I feel energetically depleted or vulnerable
And naturally, since it is a Life Scripting-based energy practice, it includes the Violet Flame.
How Long Should You Practice? One of the questions I get asked most often is: "How long do I need to do this?" And the answer is: the heavier the circumstances you are going through, the longer the practice.
As a general guideline, you can begin with 3 days or nights and then, if needed, extend it to 9 → 21 → 40 → 120 days.
A Final Thought Before the Solstice The Summer Solstice reminds us that light reaches its peak before it begins its gradual return toward darkness. Perhaps that is why it feels like such a powerful moment to release what has become too heavy to carry.
Whether you choose the Gold-Silver Comb, the Golden Light Shower, the Selenite Cave, the Violet Flame as a standalone, or the King Solomon Seal #23 energy practice, the goal is not perfection. The goal is simply to create a little more space between yourself and everything you've absorbed along the way.
