If There is Only One Spiritual Activity to Practice, it’s Gratitude!

If there is only one spiritual activity to practice, it’s gratitude. Meticulously, religiously, relentlessly, unapologetically. Make it your oxygen, your “teeth-brushing” habit, your currency. And see miracles and life unfolding.

This isn’t about gratitude as a nice idea. It’s about gratitude as a discipline.

Meticulously, religiously, relentlessly, unapologetically - it's consistency, not mood.

Gratitude isn’t something you practice when life is good — it’s something you practice so life doesn’t derail you when it isn’t.

Make it your oxygen - gratitude becomes the baseline state, not an occasional exercise. Just like oxygen, you don’t negotiate with it. You don’t ask whether you “feel like it.” It keeps you alive emotionally and mentally.

Your teeth-brushing habit - this is key. You don’t brush your teeth because:
  • you’re inspired
  • you’re happy
  • you’re manifesting something
You brush them because not doing it has consequences.

Gratitude works the same way:
  • it prevents decay (resentment, envy, victimhood)
  • it maintains the hygiene of the mind
  • it’s boring, repetitive, and powerful

Your currency - gratitude is framed as exchange, not morality.

Therefore:
  • what you consistently notice and appreciate is what you “pay” attention to
  • attention is energy
  • energy circulates

So gratitude becomes the currency through which life responds — not because the universe is sentimental, but because your perception and behaviour shift.

You see more.
You react less.
You make better decisions.
People respond differently to you.

And see miracles and life unfolding - not miracles as magic.

Miracles as:
  • fewer self-sabotaging reactions
  • clearer choices
  • better emotional regulation
  • less projection, more responsibility

Life unfolds because you stop fighting reality and start working with what is.

Do you practice gratitude?

Here's my favourite gratitude technique that works like an antidote for envy, misery, and inability to be in the moment 👇🏼
